Taking the Piss

It's pretty obvious that when you walk past a person urinating in the middle of the street, that this person has lost it. What I find fascinating though, is that he was really completely oblivious to his surroundings. It makes me wonder about the things he goes through on a day-to-day basis... what things may have happened to him to get him to this point... and what will happen to him after today.

Help, I need somebody.

I've not been in Asia for a long time, 8 years in total including time spent in Taipei, Taiwan – but I can say that during this time I have seen a variety of beggars. It has gotten to the point where they are almost transparent to me. I see victims who have been burned from head to toe, or young children with one parent, or more common, those born with lost limbs or deficiencies... but on this night I simply saw a man standing with two hands out. This was one of the rarer instances where there was no kow-towing or banging one's head on the concrete floor – just one man gesturing for help.

Just listen

Some people never ask of anything. They are there for you. They know what you need, and it isn't advice. Thanks.

Man

Forget about the past. Forget about the future. This is it.

In the beginning...

I once heard that if you love something enough, only good things can happen. It's only natural then that I start with this image, as everything I love most is encased within these 4 simple corners.
